“Pretty In Pink” 76x102cm - Acrylic on Canvas

$3,000

“Pretty in Pink” captures the vibrant colours of the Flamingo. The bright pink colour of flamingos comes from beta-carotene, a red-orange pigment that’s found within the algae, brine fly larvae, and brine shrimp that flamingos eat in their wetland environment. Therefore the phrase “you are what you eat” holds true for these beautiful birds.

“The Hunter” 30x40cm - Colour Pencil on Pastelmat

$1,500

“The Hunter” celebrates the Great Horned Owls incredible hunting abilities. This type of owl is commonly referred to as “tigers in the night” because they are the most aggressive of all the owl members and they can capture a wide variety of prey sometimes larger or heavier than themselves!  These fierce night predators are silent hunters that use their keen eyesight and hearing to locate and capture prey.

“Out of the Shadows” 30x40cm - Colour Pencil on Pastelmat

$1,400

“Out of the Shadows” captures the majestic yet elusive nature of the snow leopard. They are often referred to as the “ghost of the mountain” because they are rarely seen. In addition to being very shy, the colouring of their coats make them difficult to see against the snowy, rocky environment they live in.

“The King” 30x40cm - Colour Pencil on Pastelmat

$1,200

“The King” was created to encapsulate the Lion's most commonly referred to title "Kings of the Jungle". The reason they have been labelled “The King” is due to their raw power and strength. They can lift ten times the load of an average human being and their bite force is almost five times stronger compared to humans. Lions fear no other animals and have no real threats in the wild.
Despite their title, they don't actually live in the jungle. They only live in plains and open grasslands.

“Sleepy Koala” 30x40cm - Colour Pencil on Pastelmat

$1,000

“Sleepy Koala” is an adorable expression of one of the world’s sleepiest animals; Koala’s can sleep for up to 22 hours per day!

The koala’s diet is the reason they sleep so much.  Their favourite food of choice is eucalyptus leaves, and it takes a lot of energy to digest these fibrous leaves, hence why they sleep for most of the day. Koalas are mostly active at night (nocturnal), and around dawn and dusk.

“Regeneration” 30x40cm - Colour Pencil on Pastelmat

$1,200

“Regeneration” celebrates the stag’s incredible ability to fully regenerate their antlers annually.

Stag antlers are dropped, or cast, and grow back over a period of months while covered in a furry skin called velvet. They regrow as living tissue, with blood vessels and nerves wrapped around a fast growing boney structure.
